Rosary Blanket of Prayer

The Rosary Blanket of Prayer urges each chapter to take one day of the month for concentrated prayer, fasting, adoration, etc. Of course, we are called to pray daily, but this day should be especially designated. It can be done individually and collectively. We are asked to encourage all who are in Magnificat and any others who care to join us to take part in this concerted effort. The 6th of each month is the Pittsburgh Chapter's day for the Rosary Blanket of Prayer. So all members of Magnificat Pittsburgh are invited to join in praying the rosary and, if possible, fasting, on the 6th of every month.

The intentions are Peace, the Church, Magnificat, Life, Family, and a “New Pentecost”.

“Private prayer is like a straw scattered here and there; if you set it on fire, it makes a lot of little flames. But gather these straws into a bundle and light them and you get a mighty fire, rising like a column into the sky” (St. John Vianney).
